Serbia’s state health fund sets age 18 for the funded sex-change pathway.
The Republican Health Insurance Fund’s brochure describes the insured route: psychiatric assessment, hormones, and surgery in Belgrade hospitals. The published standard requires the person to be 18.
The ministries of public administration and health rulebook then issues the official health-facility certificate of sex change after at least one year of hormone treatment or after surgery.
