Medical and Health Liability Law No. 25 of 2018 (Official Gazette publication May 2018). Article 8(h) forbids the provider from performing sex-change operations. Article 2 defines “sex change” as changing the sex of a person whose male or female belonging is clear and matches physiological, biological, and genetic characteristics. “Sex correction” is medical intervention where belonging is ambiguous.
That correction definition is the disorders of sex development (DSD) track, where belonging is medically ambiguous.
