Trans Care BC (Provincial Health Services Authority) publishes the official puberty blockers pathway. The page says blockers may be started soon after puberty begins, that they are often prescribed by a pediatric endocrinologist, and that youth under 19 go through a readiness assessment. The puberty blocker used most often in B.C. is Lupron Depot, covered by BC PharmaCare.
